PM holds up mirror to Canadians
Cats: politics|How utterly embarrassing to have the Canadian prime minister using parochial politics while abroad. To see him pictured with the German Chancellor pointing fingers at the former Liberal government for Canada’s lack of commitment to Kyoto targets made me cringe.
Not that anything Stephen Harper or any other Canadian Prime Minister will get on the radar of the average citizen of the world. Until Canada takes a leadership role in the global warming fight, it will continue to fly well below the international radar.

For a country that spends so much time protesting any similarity to America, Canada is getting pretty good at aping America. Despite the Maple Leaf badges on backpacks, Canadians are not that different in the eyes of the rest of the world. And with Harper leading the charge, any difference that ever did exist, is getting smaller.
God Bless the 51st state. God Bless President Harper. Think about that the next time you head to the polls.
