The ad asks: How many Nova Scotians does it take to change a lightbulb.

The ad answers: One.

But that’s not quite the case, is it? The ad is sponsored by the government-funded Conserve Nova Scotia. CNS employs Heather Foley Melvin ($100,000+ per year) who got the job with no competition because she used to work for Preemo Roddo. He admitted she was a patronage appointment but did nothing about it. HFM also used to be a manager in the automobile industry, and we all know what a beacon of energy conservation best practice the automobile industry is. In fact, so ignorant was HFM of conservation issues when she took the helm that she had to contract out the “vision” for Conserve Nova Scotia.

So let’s get this straight (in the Bob Newhart one-sided telephone sketch sense). We have a patronage-appointed, former automobile executive who is ignorant of conservation issues working for a government-funded energy conservation body that is asking the question: How many Nova Scotians does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hmmm. Let’s ask it this way: How many trough-swilling patronage barnyard animals does it take to screw a Nova Scotian?
