Ola from Costa Rica
Cats: Uncategorized|Departing a cold, rainy, miserable Nova Scotia was not hard. Arriving in sunny Toronto and spending a day doing the CN tower, shopping on Queen St and eating Vietnamese in China Town wasn’t bad either.
But the piece de resistance was arriving in the tropical paradise of Costa Rica where the weather is beautiful, even in rainy season, the water is warm and the people are genuine and pleasant. To top it off the food it exquisite and there is no end of things to do. And there is a decent Internet Cafe with excellent music in the background.
It doesn’t get any better.

You lunatic, step away from the computer!
Stay at the beach!
Send my ticket so we can join you…
And now for your Spanish lesson.
Ola is ‘wave’ as in a wave from the ocean.
Hola is ‘hello’ as in hello.
You made an excellent play on words because it’s like you’re sending us a water wave from Costa Rica.
I love you.
I hate you.
Have a great time, I hope to not see your blog updated for at least a week.

Sorry Tanya, but here I am, updating against orders. To be honest with you, a quiet little moment away from the high-octane family fun is necessary. You’ll know what I mean, soon enough, my dear.
PS, the espanol Ola greeting/play on words was said to me by my gallego friend many moons ago. Sharp eye, you have

Awesome on your Gallego friend!
And I totally understand how you need to be online… I’m not sure what/how I’ll do once the baby arrives.
Glad you’re having a good time, too.
