An iPod in the eye
Cats: odd things|OK, so I’m in Photoshop bootcamp this morning when I notice a faint tinny sound.
It was coming from the little white buds of the iPod which accompanied me on my walk to bootcamp.
I unwrapped the iPod in a hurry, hoping that the Photoshop sergeant major wouldn’t see. But somehow the cord got stuck. I yanked it and the little white bud flew up and hit me - right on the surface of a wide-open left eyeball. An iPod in the eye. Ouch!
In the past I have slagged off the Pod people and the whole fixation with everything i.
Well, today the iPod (and all it’s followers) got revenge. Poetic justice. Pod-etic justice.
And my eye still hurts like hell.

Don’t get me wrong. The whole i-thing bugs me too. I am now on my third iPod because they are designed to just die after a year or so, and that annoys me. And also makes me slightly suspicious about the object of my feverish desires, the iPhone. We’ll just see if, after the iPhone becomes readily available in the U.S., it too turns out to be an unreliable cad.

My iPod has choked me more than once on the elliptical machine at the gym. Beware- that extra long cord will get you!

I love my mini ipod (in pink) and it’s been kicking around for 2 years now. But I don’t use the earbuds because they pinch my ears so I got some that hang off my ear and then I look like a regular nerd instead of an iPod nerd.
