In praise of the great yellow orb
Cats: Canada, blogs|What with Ozzy Osborne’s first wife’s first cousin visiting, the tall ships sailing in and out of port, the White Stripes being in town, the jazz festival happening, Beauty and the Beast on stage, my Photoshop studies ongoing and that strange heat-giving yellow orb in the sky - I believe the ancients called it the sun? - this typist has been falling down on the job.
I realize that my posting has become sporadic.
But we dwellers of this foggy, rain-drenched land are thrown for a loop when we are confronted by heat and sunshine at this time of year.
And when it happens we feel compelled to rush outside and dance around in praise of the great yellow orb. Please forgive me.
Of course this blog and its readers are the most important thing. Without it and you, there would be no me.
They are predicting rain in the next few days so my postings should pick up.

Get out and dance with the orb while you can. We’re getting your weather down here — cooler, with sporadic rain. I am loving the break from the heat!

LOL! Okay thanks you’ve just explained my own perplexing blogging behavior over the last couple weeks. Ahhhh blessed rain came this morning. The city smells so nice now, and yup my fingers are inside a typing away.
PS I adore your costa rican pics.

The yellow orb is too close in the summer. I like it better in winter.
I just got back from a week long holiday in Victoria, BC, and spent several days skulking around trying to hide from the yellow orb.
It found me.

Oh I forgot what colour the sun was. Those biblical rains I was telling you about a little while back and that I was building my ark. Well now ive been sailing for more than 40 days and nights, we’ve lost our way in the fog and the measles broke out. The elephants, buffalo and the lions made an unlikely coalition and tried mutiny on the ship. The pirates that had been following off our stern tried to board and then my daydream stopped, I looked out the window, alas its still raining…
