The Olympian man hug
Cats: Uncategorized|OK, sure Michael Phelps has broken the Mark Spitz medal record. And now he’s King of the Swimming Pool.
But this achievement goes beyond medal count and speed.
It’s done things for the hetero-man hug.
It’s refreshing to see the man hugs after 4×100 IM that won Phelps his 8th medal.
So real. So genuine. So uninhibited.
Finally, men are loosening up and openly expressing hetero-man joy and affection.
Maybe Phelps is more than King of the Swimming Pool
Maybe he’s King of the Hetero Man Hug too.

I love man hugs. Rowbear is always hugging guys and it’s really lovely. Did you notice he and Tonardo hugged when we left? It makes me happy. It’s good for our sons to see that.

Becks, especially when they come from M. Johns
Eva, phelps is my hero, Dara too
Espanya, yup, hugs are good. Western cultures are so uptight. Hugs and kisses are the norm in other cultures more macho than ours
Ambera, hip hip hooray

Espanya … just to test your jealousy. And he hugs better than you … but I love you anyway

Were they slapping and pounding on eachothers backs while hugging? (we still don’t have a cable tv hook-up) Because if they were then it’s still manly because technically they’re hugging, and fighting at the same time.
