The Beyonce of my century?
Cats: Uncategorized|The little boy typist presented this insight to me the other day.
“This re-united band from the old days is the Beyonce of your century,” he said.
The band? New Kids on the Block.
I’m not sure if I’m more upset by the suggestion that I actually listened to the NKOTB or the fact that there was a reference to “my” century, as opposed to his century.
Either way, the joke’s on me because the New Kids are back.
Maybe we should re-name them the New Blokes on the Block.

Your century vs my century? Ouch! Way to polarize the family there, boy typist!

Beyonce is way more talented than the New Kids on the Block…So I guess there is progress of sorts after all.

Any century in which there is NKOTB is not MY century.

Hah. I was at a college graduation 2 summers ago and got asked what it was like being draft age during the Vietnam War. At the end of which I was 12.

Hahaha! That’s great. I have an irrational hatred towards Beyonce. Well, perhaps its not irrational.

Barbara, actually it was the girl typist but she banned me from mentioning her in the blog post, and then when she saw the comments told me to change the ref back to her. She’s 12 and full of ‘tude. You must advise me on how you got through the teenaged girl years with the RA.
Chance, you are a perpetual optimist. Thank you for the boost.
BeckEye, I think I’m needing some further commentary on this in the PopEye
Bubs, really? You and I are the same age. Exactly. Now I’m wearing your pain.
Allison, I have an irrational hatred towards New Kids, well perhaps it’s not irrational.

I have a completely rational hatred of Beyonce. I can’t get started because I’ll never shut up about it. She’s just horrid.

NKOTB are touring in Germany, and one of my girlfriends is slobbering at the mouth to get tickets.
I don’t get it, I was more of a Duran Duran fan, but I wouldn’t pay 50 Euro to see them in concert these days.
