Favourite name-taker quote
Cats: Uncategorized|When I got married my feminist friends went mad. One sniffed “Are you going to take your husband’s name?” I said, “No, because I don’t think ‘Dave’ suits me very much.

I love that one!
I also did not take my husband’s last name…If I did, I would sound like I stripped for a living…

Heh.
When my bride announced that she was getting married at least 2 or 3 of our friends came right out and asked “why, are you pregnant?” Go figure.

The Missus was thrilled when she took my surname, because now she has the name of a famous actress.

I took my husband’s name because it is slightly less confusing to say and spell than my maiden name. I always said I would marry a Smith or a Brown or a Jones, but that didn’t happen. I had threatened to hyphenate my name which would have made my last name 19 letters long.

Espanya, yes, that would be quite a name
Bubs, sorry, but I’m laughing out loud.
Beth, you’d love Jo Brand.
HnP, sometimes you just have to take the easy name and run!

Cormac, so is (delete direct object) Missus called Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston? No wait, they’re not really actresses are they?

No, no vials of blood or nude covers on GQ Magazine for her.

Cormac does she go by a pen married name, like, say, Brown, for instance?

Taking a name isn’t hard, but I hear giving it back is.

I love Jo Brand, why isn’t she on my tv all the time? I’ve seen her on Graham Norton and a couple of other shows. I’m moving to England at once.
