IMglish lessons
Cats: words|Because one of the little typists is away and txtng to stay in touch, it’s time for more IMglish lessons. It seems like a strange way to communicate until you’re confronted with all those the tiny buttons with three letters per button. Then you heart IMglish.
Please send in your best IMglishisms and I’ll post later.

I really cannot stand text speak. I don’t know why it bothers me so. I once had to Google “AFK” because I had no idea what it meant.

FART = Feelin’ All Right Today
As you can tell, I don’t use IMglish much.
True story…when I first started using the Internetz I had a brief flirtation with chat rooms, and the first time I saw “btw” I immediately assumed it meant “bite the weenie.” I imagine it’s because I always have Grease on the brain.
btw, with relish

I just googled AFK…… I always feel like such geek when I use “imglish” like I am trying to be cool but I just can’t run with the Cool Kids. What drives me nuts is when people use *grins* or stupid stuff like that…… if you write something funny, I am goibg to know that it is funny, you don’t have to tell me you are *grinning*

I googled NANC….
The National Association of Nouthetic Counselors is a fellowship of Christian pastors and laymen who have banded together to promote excellence in biblical counseling. NANC was founded in 1975 in service to Christ to address several needs in the biblical counseling community. NANC is first and foremost a certifying organization. The certifying process is rigorous but attainable by even the busiest pastor.
