THIS is Nova Scotian Idol
Cats: Uncategorized|I’m still bitter about my boy Adam Lambert not winning American Idol.
But here’s a thought: What would AIĀ hosts Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell have to say about our political leaders Rodney MacDonald, Stephen McNeil and Darrell Dexter?
If you’re visiting from elsewhere, there’s an election in a couple of weeks and here in Nova Scotia we aren’t exactly swimming in a sea of characters and charisma.
Think beige, blancmange and vanilla and you’re getting close. Actually, these things are probably more charismatic that our politicians in Nova Scotia.
This is why giving them the American Idol treatment was fun
Yo, check it out, check it out, Rodney Dawg in the house.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. I think the way politics are now, we might as well open it up to this level of ridiculousness. At least it would be interesting, and not the usual case to shoot oneself in the head whenever these people show up.
And yes. Let’s get Susan Boyle here. Susan for premier!

I’m not entirely sure who any of these people are, being woefully ignorant of both Nova Scotia politics and that Idol show. The latter is forgiveable, the former, less so.

As I don’t live in your province, more immediate fear is them emulating a certain Idol contestant and wearing bikinis.
Then of course, I want the better of the three to win and do the least amount of damage to Nova Scotia.

Excellent capturing of their voices. Sadly I don’t think any of them would get past the producers to the judges in a real show – except perhaps Rodney as a ‘can you believe this guy’ novelty humiliation.

Since I know nothing about Canadian politics, I’ll just say that you shouldn’t be bitter about Glambert losing. He doesn’t need some clunky microphone trophy to tell him he’s a star.

Ryan, thanks, I think its sort of sad that politics have got to this. And it doesn’t help our little province any either.
Barbara, ha ha, don’t be hard on yourself, NS politics is eminently forgettable and not worthy of your fine brain.
Cormac, oh, the visual imagery with the binkinis and the local politics. God help me.

Tagbagger, sadly you are right, the lack of talent in this province is quite remarkable.
Becks, you are so right. Adam knew it that night and so did Kris.

I was rooting for Madame Glambert myself, but look at it this way. He will get to do his own material and not be saddled with that horrid Kara song.
