GT is a two-thumbed wonder
Cats: geeky things|This typist’s typing has been transformed from the old ten-finger style to the new two-thumbed style.
That’s because I just got me one of those sexy new iPhones.
The keyboard is on-screen.
It works either vertically (the hard way) or horizontally (much easier), depending on which way you hold it.
Two-thumbed typing on-screen is a learned skill, and mannnee funmy worsss haf rezultef
But I’m getting there. And I’m getting faster.
Soon I will be posting from my iPhone, or as someone called it the other day: the digital Swiss Army Knife.
Trust me, this thing lives up to its rep.

I’ve had to learn the same on my G-1 and while my WPM hasn’t improved, my need to delete mistyped letters has gone down a little.

Have fun with the Ipod. Seems strange, all these changes in the hardware and we’re all basically still typing. Seems especially strange that we’re doing it on phones.

I find that two-thumbed typing is still a bit of a challenge for me.
It will be interesting to see how things will change as you type more with fewer fingers and have the ability to post things from anywhere at all.

Cormac, there was a time when I wouldn’t have understood that. Now I do and it scares me.
Beckeye, I sometimes wonder if we’ve really progressed, and then I look at my iPhone and say a resounding YES!
Chance, it’s always typing, even if with two thumbs
Chris, I expect the length of things will shorten to match attention spans
