When a yogourt container is more than just a yogourt container
Cats: environment|I keep three stacks of one-litre yogourt containers under my kitchen sink.
They are there because I don’t know what else to do with them.
The plastic is No.5 and that is not recyclable in my city, but I can’t bring myself to throw them out.
All I can see is landfill sites filling up with yogourt containers, millions and millions of them.
Then I see wildfires, droughts and melting Arctic ice floes.
So the yogourt containers sit under my sink, awaiting a purpose.
What you do with with non-recyclable yogourt containers?

I am told that reusing these containers is quite bad as they leach plastic.
Send them to Toronto; I’ll recycle them for you

Make shift planters.

I don’t understand why your community doesn’t recycle them. Ours does, and we are apparently recycling dinosaurs around here.
Send them to city hall and ask them what to do with them.

Only white #2 here, but in the next Regional District over they take EVERYTHING!
You should organize everyone in the Province to drop them off at the Legislature.

They’re great for planting tomato and pepper seeds in the springtime. If you don’t want to do that, I’ll take them!!
