Emaciation is the new black
Cats: slack woman|Photoshopgate.
It’s the case of the model who was digitally disfigured for the Ralph Lauren ad.
We’ve been banging on for years about about the way the fashion industry is turning models into stick insects and toothpick people.
Well now, with this ad, we know the truth.
The fashion business really does want models to be inhumanly thin.
And if they can’t achieve that by starving and purging, then the fashion business will simply doctor up their images.

She looks like she’s in one of those glasshouses they have at the fairgrounds…you know, with the warped mirrors.
It is laughable. I giggled when I saw the photo…but I’m not an influencible female teen.
I say stop buying from Ralph Lauren as a start.
Having said that, wedding photographers and TV broadcasters have been adjusting images and lathering make up on people for a long time.
“I’m gonna brush that grey right outta my hair”…

Beyond the discussion of fashion’s influence on women’s ideas of beauty, that’s really just the most appallingly bad Photoshop job I’ve ever seen .

Say, why don’t we just dress some brooms and put them on top of some remote control cars on the runway? Same difference.

It’s beyond ridiculous. I wonder what size that model was supposed to be? minus 14?
