Today, Haiti is Hades
Cats: Uncategorized|This typist visited Haiti a few months ago, not Port-au-Prince, but another part.
I spoke to locals and saw the children playing in the water. It was a happy day, everyone was smiling, no one was suffering.
Looking at the pictures of Port-au-Prince after the earthquake is heart wrenching.
This little country has been beaten down by natural disaster and political corruption, and now this.
You have to wonder how much more it can take.

They say “adversity builds character”. I always try to see the positive side of things.

It’s unimaginable. That toll is more than the city I grew up in. I can’t even process it.

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger?
A tragedy is a tragedy is a tragedy. It’s always sad to see any animal suffer, but an earthquake is an earthquake is an earthquake.

I guess I should add that I’ve always thought it would be a good way to go. My preference is a giant meteor.
